Alanya is an award winning musical theatre composer lyricist. Her work has been performed around the world, including the Lincoln Center, Playwrights Downtown, Feinstein’s 54 Below, The Green Room 42, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Tristan Bates Theatre, Leicester Square Theatre and numerous theatres around New York, Australia and London.
Alanya is a graduate of the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, Tisch School of Arts, New York University and member of the Advanced BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild, Maestra, APRA AMCOS and Mercury Musical Developments. She studied in London at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and is a Licentiate of Trinity College, London.

IN BETWEEN is a song cycle which moves through the cycle of life. Inspired by the universal elements: earth, water, fire, air, we witness the push and pull of the elemental forces and how they can guide us or lead us astray. A cast of four, this haunting, 60-minute show explores themes of passing over, rebirth and self-discovery.
CHAPTERS follows the lives of six characters whose paths intersect as the choices they make impact not only their lives, but the lives of those around them. Spanning over a period of seven years, CHAPTERS is a poignant through-composed musical that deals with love and loss and proves that it’s never too late to start a fresh chapter.
