Coffee. Because Writing is Hard Work

Our Story

The Alex Café has a low-key private art aesthetic. Lit by natural and ambient lighting, so comforting in this harsh world the cafe feels like a hidden basement speakeasy. The Alex Cafe’s decor, however, is unlike anything you would see in an antique cafe. The walls of the cafe reflect the cafes modern take on the 1920’s private nature of a bar where access is only by invitation when you know the hidden symbol, and enjoyment was prohibition’s worst-kept secret.

Admission to The Alex Café is through your creative imagination only making access to the establishment elite to those in the know…

The Alex Cafe

Constructed in a space between fiction and nonfiction as part of the Alex Theatre project and to build energy to the creative nature of the community that lives within the arts.

An exclusive lounge for those who love the art of reading and writing, and when that moment is just right sharing their dreams with others over a vessel containing the elixir of life.

Supporting story tellers and those who enjoy…

To say any more would give away the secret!
